BEN HERRING

Keynote Speaker | High-Performance Culture & Leadership Consultant | Podcast Host

Leadership. Culture. Performance. Without the corporate clichés.

Ben Herring brings more than 25 years inside elite sporting environments into the workplace, sharing practical lessons on how great leaders create the conditions for people to perform, belong and keep getting better.

From professional and international rugby across New Zealand, Australia, Japan, England and Canada, to more than 100 in-depth conversations with some of the world's leading coaches, Ben has spent his career studying one question:

What actually makes a group of people perform at their best together?

Now he helps organisations answer it for themselves.

BRING BEN INTO YOUR ORGANISATION

The Why

Ben started Coaching Culture after noticing something again and again across more than 25 years in high-performance sport: the environment around people changes what they’re capable of.

The best teams weren’t always the ones with the most talent. They were the ones where people felt connected, understood what they stood for, knew what was expected of them and genuinely wanted to contribute.

What began as a podcast exploring how great coaches build those environments became something much bigger: a fascination with the conditions that allow people to perform, belong and grow.

Today, through Coaching Culture, Ben brings together lessons from hundreds of conversations and decades inside elite sport, turning them into practical ideas, frameworks and experiences that help teams and organisations build cultures people actually believe in.

Call To Action

For more than 25 years, Ben Herring has lived inside some of the most demanding performance environments in world sport, as a professional athlete, international coach, and leader of high-performance programmes across Australia, New Zealand, England, Japan and Canada.

What he's learned in that time isn't really about sport. It's about people, how they perform under pressure, how they stay engaged through setbacks, and what separates teams that quietly fall apart from teams that hold together and keep improving.

Today, Ben brings those lessons directly into organisations, helping leadership teams build environments where people don't just perform, but genuinely belong and grow, the conditions that drive retention, engagement, and sustained results.

He's the author of multiple books and the host of The Coaching Culture podcast, where he sits down with leading coaches and high-performance practitioners from around the world to unpack what great leaders actually do not just what they say, to build culture and sustain performance over time.
